Matt Robertson joined Flaherty & Hood in 2020. As the Assistant Winona City Attorney, he handles the City’s criminal prosecution and works on various municipal matters. He takes a practical approach to criminal prosecution, focusing on problem solving as well as accountability. This approach promotes Winona’s safety and prosperity.
Prior to joining the legal team at Flaherty & Hood, Matt worked as a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Nancy L. Buytendorp and as a paralegal for the Minnesota Office of the Public Defender.
Matt is a Massachusetts native and has spent time living in Washington, D.C. and South Carolina. He has lived in Minnesota since 2010. Before entering legal practice, Matt worked as a chef at several fine dining establishments. When he is not representing the people of Winona, he enjoys, golf, camping, and, of course, cooking.
