![]() Brandon M. Fitzsimmons Senior Attorney As an attorney at Flaherty & Hood, P.A., Brandon's practice has been devoted to representing and consulting numerous cities throughout greater Minnesota, who are primarily members of the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities (CGMC) Labor and Employee Relations Committee, on labor and employment, annexation, and municipal law matters. He has represented cities in negotiations, mediations, contract and grievance arbitrations, administrative hearings before the Office of Administrative Hearings and the Bureau of Mediation Services, and state district and appellate courts. Furthermore, he devotes much of his practice to responding to labor and employment related inquiries; drafting personnel, administrative, and civil service policies, grievance responses, and contract language; and advising on hiring, discipline, and other personnel actions. Prior to joining the firm, Brandon was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Renee L. Worke in Waseca, Minnesota. He also worked as a law clerk for Robert Wilson & Associates as well as Thomas Foster & Associates in Minneapolis. Brandon graduated cum laude from Creighton University in 2000 with a degree in political science with distinction. He is a 2003 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law and is admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota and the United States District Court, District of Minnesota. Brandon holds memberships in the National and Minnesota Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA & MPELRA), the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association. |
