J.D. BurtonAttorney As an attorney and lobbyist for Flaherty & Hood, P.A., J.D. represents clients at the Legislature in matters such as transportation, economic development, tax-related issues, and general legislation. Prior to joining Flaherty & Hood, P.A., J.D. worked extensively with local governments at the state and federal level. This includes over four years specializing in transportation and appropriations issues as legislative staff with a Minnesota Member of Congress in Washington, D.C. Additionally, J.D. has served as a federal relations specialist and state government relations specialist for Lockridge Grindal Nauen, P.L.L.P. J.D.'s experience with local governments is rounded off by clerkships in the Finance Department of the City of Minneapolis and the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. J.D. holds a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Practice, and was a Moot Court Regional Finalist. He is a graduate of Luther College. |
