Senior Attorney
As a Senior Attorney, Christina focuses her practice on representing and consulting public employers throughout Minnesota on labor and employment matters, including data practices and open meeting law issues.
- Labor contracts, grievances, and bargaining unit determinations
- Personnel performance and conduct, fitness-for-duty, and data practices matters
- Mediation, arbitration, public employment agency, administrative, civil service, veterans preference, unemployment, and court proceedings
- Employment policies and procedures
- Pay equity, wage, and benefit analysis, systems, and compliance
- Workplace investigations, management trainings, and organizational reviews
- Advice on complying with labor and employment laws
Prior to joining Flaherty & Hood in 2020, Christina was a law clerk at Harmony Law Firm, working primarily on employment discrimination and unemployment insurance cases. While in law school, she served as a certified student attorney with the Employment Law Clinic at the University of Minnesota, where she represented clients in unemployment insurance appeal hearings and counseled nonprofit organizations on personnel policies, employment agreements, and labor contracts.
Before pivoting into the law field, Christina worked as a nutrition and public health researcher, focusing on obesity prevention measures such as increasing access to healthy foods and improving nutrition education strategies. She has also done work investigating the effects of neighborhood blight on community-level health, safety and well-being for a housing equity project focused on land development strategies in low-income areas of Philadelphia.
Christina grew up in Duluth and now lives in Minneapolis. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exercising, and spending time by any large body of water.
