F&H Labor Relations Team Leads Seminars in Brainerd, New Ulm

Flaherty & Hood shareholder attorney Brandon Fitzsimmons and associate attorney Chelsea Bodin led two labor and employee relations for the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities (CGMC). The seminars focused on practical and legal solutions for providing services and managing employees in local government. Covered topics included police departments’ unique organizational and personnel issues; employee background checks; drug and alcohol issues with employees; administering family and medical-related leaves; and updates on settlements, arbitration and relevant legislation.

More than 80 city and county managers, administrators, city staff members and elected officials attended the seminars in Brainerd on June 6 and New Ulm on June 13. Special thanks to the city officials and others who assisted with the seminars. In addition, thank you to the cities of Brainerd and New Ulm for being wonderful hosts.
