The law firm of Flaherty & Hood, P.A. pleased to welcome Alissa Harrington as the newest member of its legal team.
As an associate attorney in the firm’s St. Paul office, Alissa Harrington will use her practical experience in state government to inform her work with local governments throughout Greater Minnesota on a broad range of issues, including general representation, contracts, ordinances, and labor and employment.
Prior to joining Flaherty & Hood, Alissa spent over a decade working in all three branches of the State of Minnesota. Her experience includes work in constituent services at the Minnesota House of Representatives, as a policy analyst at the Department of Human Services, and as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Koch.
Alissa graduated summa cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2017 and was a recipient of the Student Award of Merit and the MIPLA Student of the Year prize. During law school, she was the editor-in-chief of Cybaris An Intellectual Property Law Review, a Mitchell Fellow, an SSG Leader for Contracts and Civil Procedures, a research assistant, and a competitor in both the Saul Lefkowitz and Rosalie Wahl moot courts. She received the CALI award for Torts, Contracts, Copyright Law, and Religion and the First Amendment.
Alissa also holds a Masters of Advocacy and Political Leadership with a dual concentration in Labor Studies and Public Service from the University of Minnesota Duluth (2012) and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Religious Studies and Political Science from the University of Rochester (2004). Alissa is licensed to practice law in Minnesota (2018). She is an active member of the Hennepin County Bar Association Hennepin Lawyer Committee as an author and editor.
