The law firm of Flaherty & Hood, P.A. pleased to welcome two new members to our team: attorney David LaBerge and communications & government relations associate Kelly Haff.

As an associate attorney in our St. Paul office, LaBerge works with local governments across Minnesota on a variety of issues, including real estate, land use, general municipal law and contracts.

Prior to joining our team, LaBerge spent several years working at a manufacturing plant in Duluth. The work ethic and down-to-earth approach he cultivated during that time continues to inform his work as an attorney.

LaBerge graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2019, where he served as a lead editor of the Minnesota Law Review and worked as a member of the University of Minnesota Housing Law Clinic. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Minnesota—Duluth (2014). He clerked for the Honorable Rebekka L. Stumme in Carlton County (2019-2020) and has been licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 2019.

As Flaherty & Hood’s communications and government relations associate, Kelly Haff executes a wide range of communications and organizational responsibilities for clients.

Prior to joining our team, Haff earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University. During her Master’s studies, she specialized in Public Policy and Macro/Systems Studies.

Haff brings with her a diverse skill set from her experiences as membership and marketing specialist for Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce, grant development and communications manager at a consulting firm, and a constituent relations aide for a Massachusetts state senator.
