Flaherty & Hood staff member Dan Dorman was among the presenters at the Department of Employment and Economic Development’s (DEED) State Competitiveness Summit on Jan. 22.

Dorman, who serves as executive director of the Greater Minnesota Partnership, participated in a panel discussion about the ways that public-private partnerships can create business expansion opportunities. He was joined on the panel by Cheryal Hills of the Region Five Development Commission, Michael Langley of Greater MSP and Gary Smith of Rochester Area Economic Development Inc.

The one-day summit brought together more than 400 community economic developers, workforce development practitioners, planners, civic and government leaders, educators, researchers and nonprofit and foundation representatives for a wide-ranging discussion on the key drivers to economic growth.
