Humberto Ochoa is an Associate Attorney at Flaherty & Hood and practices primarily labor and employment law, serving cities throughout Minnesota.
Before joining the firm in 2023, Humberto worked for Craig & Craig LLC., where he focused on the areas of commercial litigation, insurance defense, and municipal law.
Humberto received his law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology (Chicago-Kent) with a Certificate in Labor & Employment Law. He was also a member of the Honors Seventh Circuit Review, where he edited and published an article on the Rooker-Feldman doctrine. Humberto interned and externed at various places throughout law school, including Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), The Law Offices of Eugene Hollander, Sur Legal Collaborative, The Greater Chicago Legal Clinic, and others. Humberto attended the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign for his B.A. degree.
Humberto was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and has lived in various places around the U.S. and the world. He is a proud Gates Millennium Scholar and loves giving back to the community. He currently resides in Minneapolis and enjoys visiting his brothers, who live in NYC and Los Angeles.
