Lobbyist

As a lobbyist at Flaherty & Hood, Darrin Lee uses his knowledge of the legislative process and his experience in government relations to develop and implement advocacy strategies that advance the legislative priorities of public and private sector clients. Darrin represents clients before administrative agencies and committees in the areas of energy, taxes, and capital investment.

Before joining Flaherty & Hood, Darrin worked with the Minnesota Senate for 11 years, which has made him a familiar presence at the State Capitol. He served in various capacities, including Committee Administrator for the Energy and Utilities Finance and Policy Committee from 2018 to 2022, where he helped facilitate energy policy and legislation. Prior to his career in government relations, Darrin worked on various political campaigns after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a major in Finance.

A Minnesotan through and through, Darrin grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota, and attended Jefferson High School. He currently lives in St. Paul with his fiancée RaeAnna and their two cats, Charlie and Maggie. When he’s not busy monitoring committee hearings at the Capitol, Darrin enjoys traveling, gardening, skiing, outdoor activities (such as boating, hunting, and fishing), cooking, and working on home improvement projects.
