As a senior attorney and lobbyist for Flaherty & Hood, Elizabeth represents clients at the Minnesota Legislature and before administrative agencies in the areas of bonding, environment, energy, land use reform, natural resources, and parks & trails.
Elizabeth works hard to achieve success for her clients, whether it be getting new legislation passed, blocking potentially harmful legislation, or helping them get state funding for the projects and priorities that matter to them. She is excited to help local governments achieve their clean water and sustainable energy goals, and she loves to travel the state visiting the parks, trails and community projects that the government relations team at Flaherty & Hood has helped fund through its work at the Legislature.
Prior to joining Flaherty & Hood in 2008, Elizabeth worked as an associate at Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, where she represented clients in civil litigation and counseled clients on a range of legal issues. Additionally, Elizabeth has worked as a business analyst at Cargill Inc., director of career & professional development at University of St. Thomas Law School and served as a legislative assistant at the Minnesota House of Representatives. Her past employment experience also includes a stint as a singing cocktail waitress at the Wisconsin Dells.
Elizabeth grew up in Greater Wisconsin and now represents Greater Minnesota. She lives in St. Paul with her ever-growing fleet of bicycles. When she is not at the Capitol advocating for the communities of Greater Minnesota, she can be found on a bike, on a hiking trail, with her nose in a book, or behind her camera.
