Law Clerk
Sabina Marty is a Law Clerk at Flaherty & Hood who primarily supports the firm’s labor & employment law team. In her role, Sabina conducts legal research, analyzes case law, drafts documents and correspondence, aids with discovery, and ensures the efficient and effective administration of legal services. She also assists the firm’s attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and other court proceedings.
Before joining Flaherty & Hood, Sabina worked as a judicial law clerk for a circuit court judge in Louisville, Kentucky, researching complex legal issues and drafting opinions for the judge. She also spent time working as an in-house legal intern for a local company in the Twin Cities suburbs, where she first discovered her passion for labor, employment, and human resources by creating and delivering training sessions on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) to department personnel.
Sabina also maintains an interest in the intersection of law and legislative policy, particularly with a public interest focus, having previously held an internship with The Advocates for Human Rights organization and volunteered with a women’s rights advocacy group that represents and empowers women who have experienced domestic violence in the Philippines.
Sabina was born and raised in Excelsior, MN. When she’s not in the office pouring over legal documents, she enjoys being active outdoors, reading romance novels, attending concerts, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and two cats, Jasper and Theo.
