Flaherty & Hood, P.A. is pleased to announce that Robert T. Scott has been named a shareholder attorney at the firm.

Robert joined Flaherty & Hood in 2007 and is currently the firm’s lead litigation attorney as well as a city attorney and special legal counsel for numerous cities throughout Minnesota. Among his concentrations are matters dealing with real estate, economic development, land use and annexation, eminent domain, public utilities, the environment and general municipal issues. Robert has represented clients in federal and state district and appellate courts and before administrative agencies, including the Bureau of Mediation Services and Office of Administrative Hearings. He also has experience representing clients in arbitrations and mediations.

“Robert has earned this promotion through his hard work and determination and by building a strong municipal legal practice,” said Chris Hood, managing shareholder of the firm’s legal practice. “With his keen legal mind, top-notch writing skills and strong ability to take on highly complicated legal matters, Robert has consistently shown his dedication to his clients and proven to be an outstanding attorney throughout his 12 years at our firm. We are excited to welcome him as our newest shareholder.”

Robert graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in 2003 and holds a B.A. in English and Communications from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota (2003), Wisconsin (2004) the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota (2004) and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals (2006).
