Flaherty & Hood, P.A. Shareholder Attorney Brandon Fitzsimmons and Human Resources Analyst Lucas Golliet coordinated and presented at the annual Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities Labor and Employee Relations seminars for local governments in June. The theme of the seminars was practical and legal solutions for managing employees and unions in local government. Seminar topics included employee and union communications; job classification and compensation systems; updates on settlements, arbitrations, the Legislature and law; Minnesota’s aging workforce; and mock labor contract negotiations. More than 50 local government employees and elected officials attended the seminars, which were held in Austin and Alexandria. This was the 11th year of these seminars. Flaherty & Hood looks forward to coordinating and presenting at these labor and employee relations seminars in years to come.
