Flaherty & Hood, P.A. is pleased to announce that Mike Flaherty has been named a shareholder attorney at the firm.

Mike joined Flaherty & Hood in 2011. He practices in the areas of municipal law, real estate and land use, and more. He has extensive experience representing cities in all areas of municipal law, both in an advisory capacity and in civil and criminal litigation. Mike primarily represents local governments in southeast Minnesota as their city attorney and general legal counsel, including the cities of Altura, Caledonia, Eyota, Goodview, Lewiston, Oronoco, Plainview, Rollingstone, Rushford, and Wabasha. While serving city attorney for the above-named cities, Mike also serves as prosecuting attorney for the cities of Winona and New Ulm. Mike is adept at tackling difficult and unique issues facing cities and has a proven track record of successful outcomes for his clients.

He has single-handedly built the firm’s criminal prosecution practice from the ground up and is one of the best municipal prosecuting attorneys in the state,” said Chris Hood, managing shareholder of the firm. “Mike has consistently shown his dedication to his clients and proven to be an outstanding attorney throughout his tenure with our firm. Mike graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011 and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Luther College. He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota as of 2011.
