Derrick Miedaner has joined F&H as Director of Policy Research & Analytics, with a primary focus on economic and public policy analysis for local governments and public-private partnerships. Derrick’s experience centers around providing consultation on complex economic policy issues with both local and state-level professional and municipal groups, bringing a trained critical lens that provides strong data driven analysis and expert consulting. Specifically, his skillset focuses on the areas of:
- Economic research, modeling, and forecasting
- Economic policy and implementation analysis
- Economic development consulting
- Program creation and analysis
- Applied geospatial economic analysis
Prior to joining Flaherty & Hood in 2023, Derrick worked as a Senior Investment Advisory Compliance Analyst at Securian Financial Group and Director of Economic Development at Civic Intelligence LLC. Derrick’s extensive background in analytical applications, project-based policy initiatives, special assessment methodology, public engagement modeling, and other policy services make him an essential resource for the firm’s clients and their interests.
